The BAPPC is proud to announce the formation of our Confirmation Class Point Awards Competition! This exciting program is open to all BAPPC members who choose to show their Biewers for confirmation. Participation is easy and completely optional. To participate, please print a copy of the show verification form and take it with you to the shows that you attend. Please be sure to complete the form in its entirety. Please keep a copy of the form for your own records and send the original to the club member named bottom of the form.
The competition will run from January 1st - December 31st each year. At the end of the show season the high point winners will be announced and special Club awards will be handed out at the first Specialty of the following year. Additional Points Information:
Due to the fact that the Bred-By class is handled differently between the show venues, we will not be able to award points to those who show in the Bred-By class with the IABCA. The BAPPC does feel it is extremely important for breeders to show the puppies that they have produced, therefore we would like to award extra points to those who choose to do so. For each win listed above, a point will be awarded if the puppy is a bred-by. These points will then be tracked separately and used to determine the Bred-By awards. Please note that the breeder must be the one showing the puppy / dog to qualify for the extra point(s) and wins in the bred-by class under the IABCA should not be noted on the form.
In addition, class points will automatically be awarded to all Champion dogs / puppies shown with NAKC. The reasoning behind this is that once a dog / puppy earns their championship title(s) with the NAKC, they no longer compete in class and automatically advance on to best in breed. This is not the case with dogs / puppies shown with the IABCA and we would like to make sure that everyone has a fair chance to win the club award regardless of which venue(s) they choose to show under. If your dog / puppy holds a championship title with the NAKC and does not compete in class, please note that in the class section for each show the dog is shown in so that points are given.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Each member is responsible for completing and submitting their forms. Please be sure to clearly indicate all wins on the form as this will be the only information used in calculating points. Any wins not recorded on the form(s) will not be calculated into the point totals. A reminder will be posted at the end of the year reminding members to submit their forms. Any forms submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
Points will be awarded as follows:
Regular Show:
- Reserve Best in Show: 35 points
Specialty Show (Double Points):
- Reserve Best in Show: 70 points

Changes to the BAPPC Championship Program for 2009
The points awarded for Reserve Best in Show has been increased to recognize the significance of this placement.
We are now including Splitters in the Championship Program. After much consideration, it was decided that this is a great way to encourage our members to show their Splitters to ensure that they are of breeding quality. Our members are required to request approval before adding new lines in to the Biewer a la Pom Pon breed and then must complete a three generation watch before any dogs can be sold to the public for breeding purposes. By overseeing these breedings and encouraging our members to show the dogs they produce, we will ensure that we are only breeding in new lines and resulting offspring that will better the Biewer a la Pom Pon.
